rtNOW Engage was created to be the perfect compliment to your respiratory therapist.
Consider the following:
- We allow you to scale exponentially. Keep your local RT focused on the high-touch, high-acuity patients while we take care of everything else. For example, have your RT do NIV setups, and rtNOW do the follow-up checks and adherence. Add rtNOW PAP setup and adherence services where we do the work, and you collect the income. You can focus on advertising your services, and this massively scales income and opportunity.
- Reduce burnout. If you are fortunate enough to get a local respiratory therapist in a time of clinical shortages, the last thing you want to do is burn them out! rtNOW provides a “pressure release valve” for your RT and your company, so yo can focus on more important matters.
- Reduce burden. Ever try to follow the changing respiratory landscape across 50 states? We have deep knowledge into state and national requirements, and embed this research natively into our service lines.
rtNOW can provide a licensed therapist of record for an annual fee, however we will only do so for PAP Setup services. For all other services, you will need a local respiratory therapist at least on call for emergencies.

- We have been operating since 2015, when we were recognized for pioneering telerespiratory care by the AARC.
- We use only respiratory therapists. You will not have a “sleep coach” who was working at McDonald’s two weeks ago taking care of your patients, but rather a registered professional who cares about your patients and who understands their disease state. This is deeply appreciated by patients and doctors alike.
- We are a one-stop shop for all virtual respiratory care services. You will not worry about trying to piece-meal a PAP setup service with an NIV adherence service while trying to find a PAP adherence company, etc. We provide more virtual respiratory care services than any other company in the industry.
- We provide a 1:1 relationship between a patient and a respiratory therapist.
- We continue to innovate. Our customers hear about new service lines and innovations before anyone else.
Inpatient FAQ
Inpatient Questions
rtNOW will deliver an iPAD on a medical-grade stand to your facility or facilities, pre-installed with our HIPAA compliant software. Usually this will reside at the nurse’s station, and a nurse or doctor will simply bring it into a room with a patient when they would like to consult with a respiratory therapist. We can place our iPads in your emergency department, med-surg units, ICU, or anywhere you may need it in your facility.
Call Us When:
- Ventilator or NIV Initiation and Management
- Respiratory Consult, Assessment, and Treatment for new or existing patients
- Oxygen Device Initiation and Management
- Patient and/or Staff Education
- Resp Rate greater than 24 bpm for greater than 4 hours
- Low SpO2 <88% and pt requiring more than 4 lpm nasal cannula.
- Asthmatic requiring >Q4 nebs
- Excessive secretions (suctioning greater than 4x per day)

rtNOW will work with you to identify an internal champion, provide initial training, and provide ongoing training as needed. rtNOW is 100% virtual. Our respiratory therapists work remotely. For in-person RT contracts, please contact Core Staffing.
