rtNOW Celebrates One-Year Milestone of it’s Certification Program
February 27, 2023 – rtNOW, a leading company in telerespiratory care, is celebrating the one-year milestone of its certification program. The program was designed to help manufacturers and service companies establish authority by demonstrating their products’ compatibility with rtNOW processes. Since the program started in February 2022, companies have been able to get feedback from experienced respiratory therapists and get recognition for how easy their products are to use, how well they work, and how well they perform overall.
The first rtNOW certification was awarded to Vapotherm’s HVT 2.0 device. “We are honored to be awarded the rtNOW seal of approval for the HVT 2.0 device,” said Cara Collins, Director of Global Marketing for Vapotherm. Being “rtNOW certified” means that a product has undergone rigorous testing by rtNOW’s team of respiratory therapists and has been found to be beneficial for respiratory care patients. The certification also ensures that the product can be easily integrated with rtNOW’s services, providing customers with peace of mind when purchasing the product.
The rtNOW Certification program includes five phases: discovery, program development, program execution, analysis, and certification. During the discovery phase, rtNOW works with the manufacturer or service company to understand their objectives, which may include usability testing, clinical feedback, pilot locations, and public relations opportunities.
Contracts are signed in the program development phase, and rtNOW provides the appropriate project lead, supervision, and resources to work with the company. The program is highly customized to meet the specific objectives of the company, and emphasis is placed on designing a program that is reported accurately and efficiently for subsequent evaluation.
The program execution phase involves the execution of the program, which may involve shipping products, staffing, training, reporting, inpatient or outpatient pilots, etc. The timelines for execution are customer-dependent.
In the analysis phase, rtNOW provides feedback and reports according to the program guidelines. If the product or service has been determined to be beneficial to respiratory patients and staff and meets a standard that upholds rtNOW’s reputation for excellence, then certification is awarded. Certification comes with a mutually beneficial public relations campaign that includes joint press releases, interviews, social media tactics, and the rtNOW Certified seal.
Pricing for the rtNOW Certification program depends on the product tested and certification program tract. For certain products and strategic relationships, testing may be free.
